GGF partners Building Our Skills are delighted to announce the launch of the new Master Class programme for 2021.

ALL classes are FREE to attend, simply follow the instructions against each class.

18th March 11.00am – Understanding the Opportunities and Benefits of Engaging Apprentices

The team from Learning Skills Partnership will be telling those who attend the class about the benefits of engaging apprentices in the workplace.  Learning and Skills Partnership specialise in recruiting apprentices in business disciplines such as customer services, trade counter staff, sales, project management and accountancy among many others.  They will explain the value to your business of engaging people at a young age and enrolling them onto apprenticeships; they will explain funding mechanisms and the various government support initiatives; and will answer any questions you may have.

To register simply email sayhello@buildingourskills.co.uk and type ‘Apprenticeships’ in the title box and we will send you the link to join the class.

Thursday 25th March 11.00am – Best Practice in Sales

Building Our Skills is delighted to welcome back renowned sales trainer and mentor Boyd Mayover for his second master class.  For those who have not seen Boyd before, his style is to base all lessons and examples around real examples drawn from everyday life.  Those who have seen his ‘The importance of practice and preparation’ video where he talks about sporting greats like Roger Federer and Christiano Ronaldo to highlight the importance of practice will be familiar with his style.  In this session Boyd will pick on a number of key messages to help those involved in selling, whether internally or externally to improve their results, and he will answer any questions you may have.

To register simply email sayhello@buildingourskills.co.uk and type ‘Sales’ in the title box and we will send you the link to join the class.

Thursday 8th April 11.00am – Recruiting from the Military

Front Foot Recruitment will be talking to attendees about the process and the benefits of recruiting ex military personnel as they enter civilian life after completing their service.

Excellent work ethic, team work and camaraderie are key attributes that we associate with those who have served in our armed forces, but there is much more.  We will hear all about the skill pool available from within the military which spans those who might be interested in becoming installers or fabricators, to those who can join a business as senior project managers, procurement managers, logics managers and much more.

To register simply email sayhello@buildingourskills.co.uk and type ‘Military’ in the title box and we will send you the link to join the class.

Thursday 15th April 11.00 am – Linking the Education Sector with the Fenestration Industry

In this Master Class the ‘Education and Employers Organisation’ will explain how industry can engage with the education sector to help make youngsters aware of the career opportunities on offer.  Building Our Skills has been championing its ‘Inspiring The Future’ campaign with Education and Employers over the past 12 months and is looking for more volunteers to join the campaign.  Volunteers simply need to be willing to give up one hour a year to talk to a school and explain the role they do and the industry they do it in. Hearing all about the opportunities to get involved direct from the campaign promoters is a great way to find out more and see if it is for you.

The campaign is aimed at individuals and companies, and literally anybody can get involved.

To register simply email sayhello@buildingourskills.co.uk and type ‘Education’ in the title box and we will send you the link to join the class.
